A bit about Danny…..
Radio has always been Danny’s guilty pleasure! As a young child he used to mimic the Sunday Chart show with Dr Fox. As a teenager and after moving to the Canary Islands with his family he had the desire to feature alongside Dick Knowles and Roy “The Boy” on a newly created “English speaking hour” on local station Radio Europa but never got the chance. His break in radio came in the early noughties when a chance meeting with Power Fm’s Gavin Watson and Spencer James led to him covering the Drivetime show for three weeks, this gave him the taste for the job and he became a regular fixture on the Power FM Schedules for the next 5 Years hosting Drivetime and latterly The Breakfast Show in addition to looking after programming and production behind the scenes. After leaving Power FM in 2007 Danny went on to present for various UK & European stations as well as becoming the voice of numerous Radio & TV commercials he also founded his own successful leisure business rejuvenating failing bars and nightclubs. As well as being a respected member of the radio community Danny can hold his own on the club scene having played at venues around the world.
What Danny said when he heard Power FM was back: Wow! As my first radio gig I always had a soft spot for Power and ‘The Mrs’ tells me that when I received the email asking me back I was grinning from ear to ear. Power Fm was a huge station in its time and I am looking to being part of the team that takes it even further second time around… even if they are making me get up early again!!
